Year and place: 1937-(1960), Nyköping
AB Nyköpings Automobilfabrik assembled Chrysler, De Soto, Plymouth and Fargo trucks from the U.S.A. Later also Skoda from Czeckoslovakia and Standard from Britain. 3.254 Standard Vanguard were sold in Sweden in 1950, which led to a market share of 5,25% (compare Volvos 11,9%). In the mid 1950s Simca from France was added to the production.
The car-parts arrived in large crates of wood, and these were popular to reuse among others for smaller summer cabins.
In 1960 Saab took over the company. The car assembly ended, and the company became Saabs general agent in Sweden.
At a car club rally in 2008 I was told that this 1954 Standard 8 4-door Sedan probably was assembled by ANA in Nyköping.

If so, this 365 centimetres long and 148 centimetres wide vehicle is one kind of the "Cars made in Sweden".
