Year and place: 1910, Askesta

Johan Bergström, a book-keeper in Askesta, had technical hobbies. He is supposed to have built a speedboat and a motorized kick-sled (a kind of early snowscooter, in a way) at the beginning of the 20th century. (Kick-sleds were usual in northern Sweden during the winter, but without engines.)

He was also interested in the new cars, and built one. It was a 2-seater, with the passenger sitting behind the driver. There is only one photo left, showing the car without headlamps and grill.
