Year and place: 1948, Borås
Axel Stridsberg built a motorcycle car, inspired by a photo of a british 3-wheeler. When the AS Special was finished in 1948, not much was the same as the 'model'.
A steel tube frame with two mc wheels in the front, and the power on the rear one. An open curved 2-seated aluminium body with a fin over the rear wheel, and a soft top.
The first engine was a Harley Davidson, but it got too warm. So a water-cooled 2-cylinder 2-stroke engine was used instead. With almost 40hp the car was fast, and rumour tells that it was impossible to roll around with. Top speed is unknown, as is the fate of the car.
