Year and place: 1965-, Enköping
In 1965 Kjell Bodin and Olle Lampén began building the Bodola Mk1, a racing car for the Formula 1000. It was a competition group introduced by sports car clubs. The 360kg light car was first used in 1968.
Kjell Bodin went on building more racing cars, among them Bodola Mk5 was finished in 1990. The hobby became a company. In 2002 Bodola Mk5 and Bodola KB7 was racing in the group Racersport 1800 (RS 1800).
The newer Bodola KB9 is made for the Swedish group RS 1800 and the English K-sport. It is completely built according to the new Clubman-racing rules that permits 'covered' bodies.

(2003-07-16: In late 2002 Kjell told me that the car recently was renamed to Bodin K9, but on their web pages they still use the name Bodola.)
