E Einars Mekaniska Verkstad - Cars made in Sweden, info from Konditori 100

Year and place: 1923-40, Nyköping

At E Einars mechanical workshop some 30 fire engines were built, on modified chassis of various makes.

The first one was built on a Ford Model T. As a fire engine it could take eight firemen, of which six sat on benches along the side of the vehicle. The ladders were stored under the benches.

Which chassis should be used was told by the orderer. The coachwork was usually made by a local company where the fire engine should be used.

A few fire engines were exported to Finland.
