Year and place: 1960s

An experimental terrain vehicle was developed in the 60s by the swedish defence research institution. It was called X-musen (the X-mouse). The purpose was to test new ideas to be used in a future terrain car (Stål-musen, the Steel Mouse).

A working prototype was built, but it was too advanced for serial production.

X-musen has advanced suspension devices and articulated steering.
