Year and place: 1899, Stockholm
May a 'probably not car maker' be mentioned here, too? Since rumours tells about a car built by him.
Per From was a bicycle manufacturer, and he also imported bicycles and other machines. At the time it was not unusual that bicycle manufacturers tried building motorvehicles too, and a newspaper article tells about one being made ready at Per Froms factory.
At Tekniska museet in Stockholm there are many documents about From, including information that he imported a Hildebrand & Wolfmüller (the first motorcycle mark on earth) and a de Dion-Bouton tricycle. Maybe the car mentioned in the newspaper is the de Dion-Bouton car From later donated to Nordiska museet in Stockholm?
