L36 was made 1964-68, in 3.507 units.
In 1968 all Scania-Vabis buses and trucks got new names: Scania-Vabis L36, with a 5 litre engine, became Scania L50. 1968-75 4.183 of them were made.

Ah. I took the photo above at a surplus store some years ago. The two photos below I took at Västerås Flygmuseum (aviation museum) in summer of 2002. It's the same truck! So, it was taken care of. Nice.

At a former mine in Ivittuut, Greenland, I passed a scrapyard.

What was left of the chrome details were in a pretty good shape. Seemingly this L50 Super's last task was as a 'garbage truck', and here it ended.
Now it is a kind of an industrial memory...
