L76 came 1963, in several versions. Besides the two versions with support axle (LS76) and third powered axle(LT76), there was LB76 and LBS76 with a 'bulldog' cab.
In 1968 all Scania-Vabis buses and trucks got new names: the truck models in the Scania-Vabis L76 series, with their 11 litre engines, were renamed the L110 series.

This LS76 Super was bought in 1963, and was fitted with a special cab from the Swedish company Be-Ge. The cab was one of seven that were built 20 centimeters wider than normal. Johan Evensen & Sønner AS bought three of those cabs.

Until 1976 the truck was used for intercontinental freights. It was then sold, after some 1.700.000 km on the roads. After that it was used for local transports for another 300.000 km, until it was retired. Luckily it wasn't scrapped, since the wish to restore it grew. About ten years ago it was found, and the first owner bought it again. After some 6.000 hours of restauration work it won the title Best Veteran Truck at Trailer Trucking Festival 2007. Congratulations.

Once again I compare the interior with modern trucks, and also think about the roads of those days...

This 1966 LB76 was built for use on the European continent, considering their vehicle lenght regulations at the time.

An 110 Super. An LBT, with power on both rear axles, I think.
LT110 Super, I suppose.

This 110 was in military service 1969-1980, bought to haul Centurion tanks, and is the only preserved of this combination.
