The 2-axle SBA111 and the 3-axle SBAT111, both all-wheel drive, were built 1975-90. The main customer was the Swedish army, others were foreign armies and a few civil in Sweden, like rescue vehicles.

The trucks can manage going up or down slopes with 60% rise/fall, and sideway slopes on 40%, fully loaded. They can wade through 80 cm deep water. The cab is almost as comfortable as civil trucks. SBA111 can carry 4,5 metric tons and pull a 6 ton wagon, while the SBAT111 can carry 8,5 tons and pull a 12 ton wagon - in terrain.

Among the many demands the trucks met up to, were that the platform should be even also when the trucks chassis was twisted during terrain driving.

The same truck was exhibited at the Swedish Battle Camp in 2006.
