An early swedish stealth truck!

F11-0, by the Swedish army named SKP m/42, a 4-wheel drive armoured truck. This SKP was in service 1943-1994, with its original body. Some 350 were built 1943-46.

In 1956 they were fitted with a double machinegun, m/1936.
Some of these trucks were in the early 1980s modified with among others a steel roof and rear doors.

According to one source from 1992, there were plans for some of them to be in service into the 2000s.

S-V SKP, this one used to the early 1990s.

They got rather well known when white-painted in U.N. service in Kongo from 1961.

The KP cars used there got added protection for the machinegunner. They got so popular among other UN-troops that some of these refused to continue their service if they didn't get them too, the Swedish Army Museum tells.

March 2007: I park some more photos here - may fix the page better later...

SKP? (Or VKP?)

(The VPK was similar, but had a Volvo TLV142 chassis and engine.)
