The PV65 series was the third model series Volvo built, and it consisted of 12 models. It was Volvos first car with a 6-cylinder engine, with the effect 55hp. 3.665 of them were built 1929-37. The 'most usual' was the PV652, 1.549 cars 1930-33, and the 'most unusual' model PV656 (a chassis model of PV658 with standard wheelbase 295cm) with 16 cars 1935-36.
First I present two cars where I only have the info that they are of model PV650.

This one was made in 1929, with a length of 4,4 metres and the width 1,72 metres.
(My small camera did not feel comfortable with the light there.)

This cars trunk really is a trunk.

The other one is from 1930.
Hmm. Would be nice to have a hot rod with this front.

This PV650 is a more useful car. With a weight of 2500 kg and a length of 4,75 metres, it can carry 780 kg.

A sturdy construction.

Wonder why I like it a bit extra?

Another PV654, also from 1933.

And one more, also from 1933. One of the specialities on the de luxe version PV654, was lamps connected to the reverse gear.

And another:

PV655:
The 62 produced PV655s were sold as chassis, and got various bodies from local coachmakers.

A Volvo PV655 from 1934.

The body was built at Katrineholms Karosserifabrik.

The interior is the original one, well preserved.
In 1934-35 62 were built. This is the only one left, I was told.
I'm thankful to those who take care of some of the old vehicles.

Parked beside a Volvo TR704.
PV655 convertible, 1933. Nice to see.

PV657:
This model was sold as chassis with lengthened wheelbase, 355cm. 55 were made 1935-36, and mostly used for ambulance bodies. But, one of them became a special convertible.

This 4-door 7-seater convertible was built for the Swedish King Gustaf V, as a car used mostly for hunting. The coach was built by G Nordbergs in Stockholm.
