The TR67 series, presented in 1930, was Volvos first dedicated taxi series. It was followed by the TR70 series in 1935, parallell with the introduction of the modified PV56 models PV656-659. They were made in four models: TR701 (high city taxi with shorter wheelbase, 310cm), TR702 (chassis with wheelbase 325cm), TR703 (long city taxi with window between passengers and driver sofa) and TR704 (like 703, but without window). The purpose with the window in the city taxis was supposedly to keep the drivers area warmer in winter, when passengers often opened the doors to get in and out. 936 TR70s were made 1935-37.
