The truck series LV66-67 and LV68-70 were Volvos first dedicated cargo vehicles, without any relationship to the private cars. LV78-80 became a popular mid-heavy truck series, when the U.S. trucks were not so robust and the other Swedish makes made heavy vehicles. The LV68-70 series were built 1931-36 as LV68-70 and between 1933-36 also as LV70B (bus chassis). 1.670 chassis were made.

I am pretty sure that this is a Volvo LV70D, probably under the construction to become a fire engine. I am pretty sure, since the registration number is the same as on the fire engine on the previous photo, taken at a car exhibition in 2000.
Someone has sent me this photo, but sadly I can't find the e-mail again. Thank you, I appreciate it.
