From 1946-50 3.006 PV60 were built, and 500 PV61 chassis (for customers that needed or wanted other bodies, like pickups). The PV60 was so inspired by a 1939 Pontiac from U.S.A. - that some parts of the body was bought from Pontiac... This model had an unusual design of the Volvo sign, with the letters written downwards.

PV60, 1946 - not a good photo, but it shows something...

I paid a short visit to the Prins Bertil Memorial in 2005, and found a blue PV60 that made my photofinger twitching.

Most of the PV61s were used for small trucks and delivery wagons.

However, some became convertibles - like this 1949'er. Its body was built by Nordbergs Karosserifabrik in Stockholm.
