All the time I learn how much I didn't know... and don't know...
The Volvo Amazon I've seen in my surroundings, are three series:
- Amazon/P120, 1956-67, 4 doors, 9 models, 234.208 units
- P130, 1961-70, 2 doors, 9 models, 359.918 units
- P220 Estate wagon, 1962-69, 8 models, 73.197 units.
Well, information isn't easy to handle. I have various sources, but even one source can be contradictionary now and then. One book about Volvo tells that the P210 Duett were in production a couple of years later than the P220, but the production table informs that both were produced until 1969. Other 'problems' are that one source tells about Amazon models as P120A and P130A, while another book tells about the 120-series for all (but P120 et cetera between parenthesis), and car-owners use info signs with model names like 121 and 131...
Enough of my complaints. Here's a mix of Amazons:

An Amazon replaced a king. This during the exhibition
'Bilen' ('The Car') at Nordiska Museet in Stockholm 1997.

This one has got an extra tail.

A well equipped original.

A 121 with a roof hatch.

Amazons were also used as police cars.

This Amazon I saw in Puerto Montt, Chile, in February 2003. It was raining a lot when it passed me.

In 1963 Jacques Coune Carrossier in Brussels presented this Amazon convertible at the Brussels autoshow.
Four 4-seaters and one 2-seater were built, handcrafted with several modifications. Two of them have been preserved.
